About Scott McArthur
Scott McArthur is a broadcaster, writer and lifelong progressive rock fan whose musical education began with a battered copy of Axe Attack and a ticket to see Judas Priest at the Glasgow Apollo in November 1981.
As co-founder of GlasgowApollo.com and co-author of Apollo Memories, Scott has spent more than two decades preserving the stories, music and memories of Scotland's most famous rock venue. His work has helped connect thousands of fans around the world through shared memories of the Apollo and the artists who played there.
Prog Goes To College is Scott's attempt to open the doors of progressive music to a wider audience. Each week he explores the rich and diverse world of prog, from the genre's classic foundations through to the latest sounds emerging from around the globe. Expect everything from Genesis, Rush and Marillion to modern artists such as Karnivool, Crown Lands and Tool, alongside hidden gems, Scottish talent and the occasional deep dive into rock history.
Whether you're a lifelong prog devotee or simply prog-curious, Prog Goes To College offers a friendly introduction to one of music's most creative and adventurous genres.
